Teri's Candle Making Instructions - Regular Basic Scented Candles.

At Texas Triple Scented candles we know how much fun candle making can be, while we will not provide our triple scenting secrets (our special waxes, oils, additives, mixing and pouring processes) listed below are some basic candle making instructions for regular scented candles. How to Make Soy Container Candles (small batch in microwave)
Items Needed:
1 (32+ oz.) measuring cup
Mixing/stirring spoon
Wicks
Candle Dye
Fragrance Oil
Jars/Containers
Soy Wax
Instructions:
Fill measuring cup with soy wax to the 32 oz, do not overfill. Microwave for 4 minutes (microwave ovens vary time my need adjusted). After wax is melted you may need to add more wax to reach 32 ounces of wax. Set oven to lowest setting (warm). Wait 10 minutes remove from oven add candle dye to the mixture and at the last minute add your fragrance oil of your choice stir well. Pour mix into warmed jars/containers wait 5 minutes and add your wick (you could also add your wick before you pour using a wick & stick-ums to stabilize your wick). You are done let your candle set & solidify for at least 24 hours before burning.

How to Make Votive or Pillar Candles
Items needed:
Melting Pot - double boiler
Thermometer
Mixing/stirring spoon
Measuring cup or scale
Votive/Pillar Wax
Fragrance Oil
Dye
Molds and Wicks
Instructions:
Weigh your wax 1 pound of wax makes about 8+ votive candles. Place wax in melting pot and heat on low setting. Use thermometer and heat to approximately 170-180 degrees. DO NOT overheat the wax. While wax is melting, set up your molds on a sturdy clean surface. Add wick or wick pins. After wax has melted, remove pot from heat source. Add your fragrance oil. 1 ounce of fragrance oil to 1 pound of wax.. Add your dye a little goes a long way, add one drop at a time, stirring constantly, until the desired color is achieved. Check your temperature should be between 160-170 degrees. Slowly pour wax into the mold leaving about 1/4" from the top, for non 1 pour waxes, keep your left over wax. After your candle is solid you may see a sink hole time to remelt your left over wax and do your 2nd pour. Let the candles completely solidity. Remove candle from mold if you used wick pins now place the wick in the candle. You will now have a wonderful candles you created.
